Akuamma & It’s Benefits: Kratom vs Akuamma

July 29, 2021

You may have heard of the seed called, Akuamma. It is usually ground up in powder form because these are not seeds one can pop in their mouth like sunflower seeds. I made the mistake in buying the full blown seeds and wasted my freakin money. Don’t buy the seeds. Buy the powder either by itself or in capsules. Now, what is so great about Akuamma seeds? Well, it is commonly known to help control pain and relief some of the discomfort pain causes. It works with the same opioid receptors, but there are so many other benefits it has. The seeds contain various types of alkaloids which include akuammine and pericine.

These seeds have been used as a muscle relaxant, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-diarrheal, antimicrobial, antipyretic, antiplasmodial and antiulcer purposes. Many compare this to kratom for they are very similar, but which one do you think it better? I think both, because it is important to use and which it up often instead of sticking to even one type of kratom strain. So I would recommend adding akuamma seeds to your daily diet along with kratom.

Recommended dose 4-8 grams.

According to users on Reddit and various drug forums, they have been using the seeds to alleviate pain that is caused by Lupus erythematosus, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and migraine. According to them, that it’s a better alternative to opiates as it doesn’t cause withdrawal symptoms and has little addiction profile. Moreover, it’s a natural solution, so it has fewer side effects. Taking two seeds daily has helped a lot of patients fight pain.

In different hospitals of Ghana, the seeds are sold under the brand name ‘Picap’ as a pain killer, and studies prove that it has potential analgesic activity. Physically active people can take the seeds alone for painful, sore muscles.

The best part about Akuamma seeds is that they act very quickly. The effects are visible within 15 to 30 minutes. However, users claim that the effects are not as strong as Kratom, but it helps a lot.

Fact is, just like kratom, these can help with energy, depression, pain and insomnia depending on how much you consume as a dosage. The more naturally would make you tired and give you the best sleep ever. A little amount like 1-2 grams would boost your mentality and give you some nice needed motivation if lacking energy.

I’ll end with some good facts for you to compare and think about before trying:

  • Kratom sometimes faces criticism for its legal status whereas Akuamma seeds are 100% legal to use.
  • For medical use, Akuamma seeds work from 1.5-1.7g dosage whereas Kratom needs 3g and above dosage for its effects. Only a few strains start operating in lower dosage e.g. 1-2g.
  • Akuamma seeds are cheaper than kratom (in most cases).
  • Akuamma seeds are mild and safer to use.
