The Ritual of Self Care & Reflection When Sick

The cloud coverage has settled itself in for the long autumn stay here in the ????????????????????? ???????????????????????????. The rain is dousing the ground with some much-needed replenishment. We have been mirroring much of the California weather as of late.?I’m here in my sunroom, following behind my one-year-old, feeling cloudy, physically weak, and in pain as my anxiety starts to rise slowly. I can feel it simmering at the top of my spine. Have you felt that before? I can feel the metal in my neck stiffening (definitely in my head), and my heart begins to race. As a working mom, I cannot afford to get sick. But here I am… ?It has captured me, brutal, but also taunting, while it says “At least I’m not covid!” ?

Is the Moon Powerful? My Full Moon Kratom Tea Ritual

Why do I do the above ritual? Why do I happen to think the moon holds some God like power? In Shakespeare’s “Othello,” Emilia tells Othello that the moon has “drawn too close to the Earth” — and driven men insane. The idea that full moons hold power, can disrupt emotion state of minds, and might even cause physical illness or changes, is a very strong belief for generations and even in today’s generation. Here are some recent research that is beginning to confirm some truths to those ancient rumors.

Kratom & Hair Loss

It is a common thing to wonder about side effects when taking something like kratom. There are side effects to pretty much everything that we implement into our lives. There are side effects to our morning cup of coffee (crash, headaches, anxiety). There are side effects to medication we are prescribed by our trusted doctors. Fact is, we accept the possibility of side effects and even often times accept the side effects themselves; but that heavily depends on how much we need “said thing” in our lives.

CBD: Utilizing CBD As a Working Mom [An Opinion Piece]

As busy working moms, finding something to help us get through a hectic day is a priority for many of us. Some of us suffer from chronic issues like pain, anxiety or depression. Having to juggle sometimes all those things throughout any given day is near impossible, yet somehow we manage to do it. But what if there was something that could help? What would be the best ways to utilize CBD for those common situations we may find ourselves in?

Chasing the Joy

When you begin your journey with kratom, if you were one who needed something to help your mood, then you know the feeling of having to “chase the joy” at one point or another. This usually begins to happen once you have been taking kratom for quite some time. Kratom improves your mood in a subtle but yet fulfilling way, but after some time, that feeling is short lived and you find yourself chasing the joy. Another similar phrase is chasing the high. However, I refuse to use that verbiage when it comes to being a kratom consumer. It is not a high that you feel after consuming kratom. It’s a feeling. You FEEL so much better, more at ease, pain free, and energized (depending on the strain you take). But regardless, you will eventually find yourself chasing those benefits as years pass as a regular kratom consumer.

A Routine You Oddly Look Forward To

Why do we get excited about simple things like these (give or take)? Well, I dug into the psyche to figure that one out. Aka, I sought out professionals and their answers to this curious thing.

Stacy’s Mom’s Tea

My kratom tea is a need in my life. Not a want. Not an option. Not an occasional recreational enjoyment. It is the one thing that helps relieve some of the chronic issues I have to live with.
And many are in my exact situation. Many of us feel the need to conceal this truth so we are not judge or misunderstood. Moms like me, business women, that soccer mom down the street–this is our morning cup of “coffee”. We hide our consumption as if our tea was laced with vodka.

The Hidden Kratom Consumers

“The image of wealthy moms slurping kratom tea in lieu of a cappuccino, or trendy Bay Area residents popping kratom pills socially just for its mild, mellow body high, cuts strangely against the dire tone of most government reports on kratom.” – Wired.

“A third of our clientele are looking for a caffeine-free alternative to get them through their day,” Day says. “I’m talking soccer moms.” Day is the owner of Clean Kratom Wellness Center Denver’s 1st and largest Kratom Dispensary.

Mid Day Dose When Living in Pain

There is no one on the face of this dying earth that knows how it feels to have a “bad day”, unless they too have tried to live a day while battling chronic pain. It’s hard, even as a working mom to not find myself slightly annoyed when hearing other mom’s say they have it so hard. No. I agree that it’s hard for you, but remember it could always be harder. It still feels good to vent, which is what we all do and what we ALL should welcome a listening ear to because we are human and we all have our days that feel shitty.

Moms with a Chronic Illness along with a Newborn (who is also colicky) – How to survive!

Introducing a Mini-Series here on Kratom Girl YouTube channel on tips and advice for getting through normal life situations but with a chronic illness. This video is about Moms w/ a Chronic Illness to Newborns (who are also colicky) —- Very little is found on YouTube in support of mothers who have a colicky baby but who also lives with a chronic illness/pain. I live with a chronic illness (fibro, neuropathy, and degenerative discs disease), so having a newborn baby while dealing with a lot of daily pain is HARD. I didn’t have much help at all, let alone advice that actually was for a mom like me.
