You may have heard of the seed called, Akuamma. It is usually ground up in powder form because these are not seeds one can pop in their mouth like sunflower seeds. I made the mistake in buying the full blown seeds and wasted my freakin money. Don’t buy the seeds. Buy the powder either by itself or in capsules. Now, what is so great about Akuamma seeds? Well, it is commonly known to help control pain and relief some of the discomfort pain causes. It works with the same opioid receptors, but there are so many other benefits it has. The seeds contain various types of alkaloids which include akuammine and pericine.
I often times mingle both my real life and kratom life together, sharing with you little pieces here and there. I rarely throw in my spiritual practices in the mix, but as society continues to go down a path that seems to greatly lack this once popular mindset, I am beginning to feel the need to talk about it at least every once in a while.
Hirsuta is like kratom’s little sister. Mitragyna Hirsuta is apart of the same family, just like the coffee bean (Rubiacease family). The leaves are green with a light green/white veins. They are smaller than the kratom leaves in size, but hold a similar structural appearance. It too is native to the Asian Pacific area (Cambodia, Malayasia, Vietnam & Thailand), and it pretty popular over there right along side kratom.
Whether you are a kratom guru or a newbie, consuming kratom can be done in a variety of ways. Some hate the taste and don’t consider it an enjoyable drink, no matter how it’s prepared. They would rather toss it back and be done with it. Others are ok with the taste and like to come up with different ways to consume the tea.
It is a common thing to wonder about side effects when taking something like kratom. There are side effects to pretty much everything that we implement into our lives. There are side effects to our morning cup of coffee (crash, headaches, anxiety). There are side effects to medication we are prescribed by our trusted doctors. Fact is, we accept the possibility of side effects and even often times accept the side effects themselves; but that heavily depends on how much we need “said thing” in our lives.
That first year after introducing a newborn into your home can be very challenging on your relationship. Take it from me, once we had our last child, I was determined to make sure we didn’t enter that draining period this time around. It does a number to your emotions and confidence, especially if you are an empath.
A website is the hub of your company brand. It is the home where any visitor can find out all there is about your brand, all they need to know in order to “join the family” or leave and not look back. As a company owner to the website, you would want them to stick around and join the family. How do you ensure that?
Those of us who live in the Pacific Northwest (PNW), live under a near-constant cover of clouds and rain that lasts over 300 days a year (depending on where you are up here). If you are up here, chances are you don’t mind that. Chances are, you love those rainy days where you smell the wet fir trees while their branches shield you from the majority of the rainfall. Perhaps you might also be a Twilight fan, or definitely have heard of it. Most likely you quietly shame the “out of state” ex-pats who have moved into your town, hiking up your housing prices and causing the majority of the accidents on the road!!—- Oh, excuse me. I got carried away there. Regardless if you love it here or are too poor to move, one thing 90% of us have in common is low vitamin D levels. In fact, it’s a well-known thing around here (perhaps only to those from here *insert smug smirk and side-eye).
E-commerce is clearly more dependent on photography than any other kind of sales channel, because it breaks from the traditional ‘ bricks and mortar’ shopping experience. Consumers cannot simply walk into a store, pick up, sit on, sit in or even taste the product they are interested in, before making the purchase. An e-commerce website needs to convey all the same information through a variety of narrower mediums, primarily photographs, words and video.
Little ritual items to love and cherish right along with me!

I’m a designer, a spiritualist, a mother, a wife, and a woman – oh, I am a woman who is fierce. I wear the image of both Medusa and Queen Ester around my neck. Two forms of beliefs wrapped into one. Most of all… I am complicated, and I LOVE that you are too. Let’s guide each other through this side of life, empowering each other, forgiving each other, and caring for each other.
